Applying for 9th Grade Admission

St. Elizabeth School provides a college-preparatory education to students who seek a learning environment in which they are prepared for a life of continuing education, service to others, and growth in spirituality.

Important Application Dates & Deadlines

The following dates and deadlines are for reference. To visit, register for the HSPT, complete an application, and apply for financial aid, please see the "Grade 9 Admission Process" section below.

  • Applications for 9th grade admission for the 2021-2022 school year will be available beginning in September 2020. Prospective families are encouraged to inquire at any time. If you have an inquiry on file, you will be notified via email when the 9th grade application becomes available. 
  • Information regarding Viking for a Day visits will be published on our visit webpage in September. We encourage all prospective 9th grade students to join us as a Viking for a day. 
  • The Diocese of Wilmington HSPT is a required admissions step for all 9th grade applicants to Diocese of Wilmington High Schools. Learn more about and sign up for the HSPT below.
  • The initial application deadline for the Class of 2025 is December 18, 2020. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis after this date. Follow the steps below to complete an application. 
  • Decisions will be posted online on a rolling basis after all application materials and HSPT scores have been received.

Grade 9 Admission Process

  1. Submit an inquiry form to create a St. Elizabeth onCampus account.
  2. Join us for a Viking for a Day visit or attend our Open House.
  3. Complete an application online using your onCampus account.
  4. Submit a copy of the following documents to your onCampus application checklist:
    • A copy of your child's completed 6th and 7th grade report cards
    • Standardized testing results for the previous two academic years
    • Your child's most recent report card for the current academic year. Students applying during the first marking period should submit their first marking period report card for 8th grade when it becomes available
  5. Complete the Diocese of Wilmington High School Placement Test (HSPT).

High School Placement Testing

The Diocese of Wilmington High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a required admissions step for all students entering 9th grade at St. Elizabeth School. Contact the Office of Admissions at 302-656-3369 ext 3039 to register for the next Class of 2025 HSPT at St. Elizabeth School.
