Vikings Attend the Delaware Congressional Delegation Youth Conference

St. Elizabeth was one of 3 schools selected to read a letter to the congressional leaders about topics that are important to youth today.

At St. E, learning just doesn't happen in the classroom. We provide our students the opportunities to take what they've learned and go out into the community to pursue their passions and advocate for causes that are important to them - essentially providing them with invaluable real-world experiences that will propel them to future success in college and beyond.

Our Vikings attended the Delaware Congressional Delegation Youth Conference hosted by Senator Chris Coons at Delaware State University. St. Elizabeth was one of 3 schools selected to read a letter to the congressional leaders about topics that are important to youth today. The speech addressed the importance of bipartisanship, the economy, healthcare, environmental concerns, & the elimination of bias/stereotypes.

Senior Chris Palkon delivered the speech, which was written collectively by five students:
John Kepley '20, Claudia Offutt '20, Wesley Gant '21, Diamond Wilson '21.
