The Vikings Tackle Cancer

Together the VKNation raised over $3,000 for cancer research.
The VKNation raised $3,200 to benefit Christiana Care's Helen Graham Cancer Center. We have all been affected in various ways from cancer and our goal as a school was to come together as a community to spread awareness and contribute towards cancer research.
On Friday, October 14th, our VKNation came together and recognized those who have battled, are currently battling cancer or have lost their battle with the disease. Players wore pink football jerseys inscribed on the back with the name of a cancer survivor, someone battling cancer, or someone who lost their life to cancer. Families and the players were introduced on the field at halftime. At the conclusion of the game the families received the jersey from the player whom they sponsored.

Through the efforts of our students and football families, St. Elizabeth School raised a total of $3,200 for the Christina Care Helen Graham Cancer Center. Our football athletes and Booster's representative, Donna Janicki, presented the check to Nora from the Christiana Care Helen Graham Cancer Center during morning assembly on Monday, November 21st.
