On Saturday, December 30thAlex Thomas ’15, scored her 1,000th career point as the University of the Sciences women's basketball broke the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) record with 17 3-pointers in a 76-50 victory at Wilmington University.
Entering the contest 11 points shy of the milestone, Alex scored 12 of her game-high 19 points in the first half. The total was one point shy of her season-best, and she also finished one assist shy of her career-high with five. Alex also made school history as she and fellow teammate Colleen Walsh are now tied for sixth in program history with 126 career 3-pointers.
Alex chose the University of Sciences because of its excellent reputation for athletics, as well as academics in the classroom. Alex is a junior and studying Occupational Therapy.
