Sacramental Preparation

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

The second grade religion curriculum includes the preparation of students for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Parents, students, priests, and teachers partner together via meetings and retreats to make these milestones special. The celebration of the sacrament of First Reconciliation is held on the first Saturday in the month of March and our First Eucharist Mass is held on the first Saturday in the month of May.

Confirmation

The sacrament of Confirmation is offered to students and parish youth in eighth grade. Youth attend a six-week program on Sunday mornings that begins in September and concludes with the celebration of the sacrament in early December.  Parish staff work in conjunction with the students, their parents, and their sponsors to prepare the students to receive Confirmation. All 8th grade students (whether celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation or not) participate in the class retreat.
New students who may not be in the grades mentioned above may receive sacramental preparation at the request of the parents and approval of the pastor. Any adult wishing to receive sacraments should contact the rectory to receive information on the RCIA program.
