Learning at St. E

Junior High and High School excel in a 1:1 learning environment

At the core of our mission is to challenge our students to achieve academic excellence with the goal of college admission.
At St. E, a 1:1 iPad environment empowers students through collaboration and engaging, participatory lessons and projects. Modern labs & facilities enrich a diverse STEM curriculum and related co-curricular activities. An Active Learning Environment, where learning takes place outside the desk, highlights the student-centered approach in classes and projects.
In the 2013-14 school year, our student and faculty population of 450 became the first high school in Delaware to adopt a one-to-one iPad environment while replacing 97% of our textbooks with digital books and applications. In the 2017-18 school year, our junior high students joined the one-to-one iPad initiative for instructional materials and curriculum delivery, better preparing them for the transition into high school level academics.
Our mission to support a robust digital age learning experience is possible through our teachers, as they are ambassadors of innovation, leveraging technology to enhance and transform classroom instruction through engaging curriculum delivery. Our collaborative and flexible learning environment emphasizes 21st century skills of presentation, collaboration, research and global awareness as students develop increased awareness of digital citizenship.
