During this unprecedented time, our St. Elizabeth community is still committed to our Benedictine mission of responsibility to self and service to others. We are thinking of all of those in need during this pandemic, and we are doing our part to help.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2020 representatives from the St. Elizabeth Athletic Department, spearheaded by Athletic Director Marvin Dooley, set up a drop off location out from of school and collected food item donations for the Food Bank of Delaware. The Viking community came out in full force, dropping hundreds of items off during the two-hour period. Many also contributed monetary donations for The Food Bank of Delaware.
Thanks to the outpouring support from our school and parish community, our Athletic Department filled two of our 12-passenger vans full of donations. On Thursday, April 2, 2020 Coach Dooley and his staff dropped off 1,162 pounds of food to The Food Bank of Delaware. This has been just one of many acts of kindness where our Vikings are giving back to the community. Thank you, #VKNation!
