In keeping with service traditions, St. Elizabeth partnered with the Blood Bank of Delmarva to host our annual blood drive on Friday, January 27, 2023.
The blood drive is a student-driven event that our high school blood drive members organize each year. For most juniors and seniors, this is the first time donating blood, an impactful experience that prepares them for donating in the future. In addition to our upperclassmen, many parents, faculty and staff members were in attendance to support our students and donate themselves.
Each pint of blood collected can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. We had 35 people donate, collecting 31 pints of blood which can save 93 lives! Many thanks to our student blood drive committee members, seniors Alyssa Pope, Ella Ferris, Jenna Bozzo and Cullen McLaughlin, and faculty coordinator, Ms. Kelly, for making our donors feel comfortable and attended to throughout the day.
