Technology

St. Elizabeth School embraces technology as a conduit for learning and our teachers make use of the most up-to-date technology in our quest to educate our students at every grade level.  Students have access to a range of software applications and web-based programs which bring liveliness to the classrooms, inspiration to the faculty, and creativity to our students. We are able to deepen the learning experiences for all our students and to provide new learning opportunities. 

 

Technology is incorporated throughout our entire campus. iPad Minis are utilized for Pre-K and K, as well as specials including Art, Music, Library, and Computer. Chromebooks and MacBooks are available in mobile carts which allow flexibility and engagement in every class. A 1:1 Chromebook program is facilitated for Grades 5 - 8, with shared sets of Chromebooks for Grades 1-4. A separate learning lab is designated exclusively for the elementary students, while a Mac lab is located on the first floor for additional high school classes and clubs. 

 

Our high school is a 1:1 technology environment where every student has an iPad. High School classrooms feature Apple TVs and Google Chromecast devices, and make use of LCD projectors, styluses, document cameras and a host of mobile applications to make learning engaging, modern, and appropriate for 21st century students. In addition to their academic learning, our students gain a practical technological literacy that prepares them both for a modern college experience and for the workforce.

In 2013, St. Elizabeth High School was the first school in Delaware to receive recognition as an Apple Distinguished School with our implementation of the 1:1 iPad program. The continual accreditation of St. E as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.
