Vikings go PINK for Cancer Awareness

The VKNation raised $3,000 to benefit the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute.
We have all been affected in various ways from cancer and our goal as a school was to come together as a community to spread awareness and contribute towards cancer research.

On Friday, October 19th, our VKNation came together and recognized those who have battled, are currently battling cancer or have lost their battle with the disease.  Players wore pink football jerseys inscribed on the back with the name of a cancer survivor, someone battling cancer, or someone who lost their life to cancer. Families and the players were introduced on the field prior to kickoff. At the conclusion of the game the families again walked onto the field to receive the jersey from the player whom they sponsored.

Through the efforts of our students and football families, St. Elizabeth School raised $3,000 to donate to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute.

Our football seniors presented the check to Mrs. Elizabeth Dougherty from the Helen Graham Cancer Center during morning assembly on Monday, October 29th.
